An English Garden Inspired Wedding Set up with Blush & Bloom Floral Design
On a crisp, autumnal October morning, I visited Alicia; florist and founder of Blush and Bloom Floral Design at the beautiful St Giles House in Wimborne, Dorset. Alicia and her team were busy putting the finishing touches on the most gorgeous English garden inspired florals throughout the grade I listed residence. Alicia worked with bride and groom E & M to achieve the florals they envisioned for their special day. She explains how she brought their vision of a quintessentally English floral display to life below.
“For Emma and Mark’s celebration, we brought their vision of an English country garden with an autumnal twist to life—creating a romantic, timeless atmosphere infused with late-season blooms and rich, earthy hues. The serene elegance of these blooms carried through every detail, bringing the essence of an autumnal garden seamlessly indoors.”
Bud vases and larger centrepieces filled the centre of the long table scape, adding character and aesthetically pleasing decor for the guests to enjoy during the wedding breakfast.
“To frame the couple’s ceremony, we crafted a whimsical romantic arch, draped with trailing ivy, soft blooms and autumn leaves. The arch was designed to echo the natural beauty of the garden, while the intricate details and soft drapery added a magical, almost ethereal touch, creating a striking and memorable space for Emma and Mark’s vows.”
The broken arch was the main event of the ceremony room. Framing where E & M would make their vows and exchange rings, unique florals draped through classic English roses and foliage and complimented the beautifully original cream and gold doors in the ceremony room.
Photographing all elements and details of a wedding day is incredibly important to me.
